you have houdini in a rar file, you need to extract the engine before you can use it.
when you get to the rar opened window you do not double click on hudini, you click on the 'extract file' button (the second icon on the top left) foolw the instructions and you will have a folder containing the engines ready for use
here the link to houdini 32 bit:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=D6QE87Q0
houdini does not come with a stand alone interface to play with it you need to load it on an interface like winboard or chessbase
