It was a round full of tough chess, and fascinating games for all tastes. The first game to finish was Anand against Nakamura in a Ruy Lopez Berlin that went the distance. Aronian found himself suffering throughout the game against Carlsen though he survived. Vallejo held his own against Ivanchuk, and finally took advantage of the latter's time trouble to win in the end. Express report.
