How to install and use with your favorite engine chess and this in your favorite GUI.
- Winboard protocol to UCI protocol adapter
- book engine for Polyglot books
- a collection of utilities for creating and analyzing opening books
- a utility for analyzing epd files
- a perft counter
First step, create a folder containing:
polyglot.ini (text file that has the extension .ini)
In this empty file (polyglot.ini), insert the following then save and close it:
EngineDir = .
EngineCommand = your_chess_engine_uci.exe
Step 2, open your favorite GUI and made like this (pictures)
a. With CB GUI:
Click on Create UCI engine
Click on the button [ .... ]
And select the file polyglot.exe
Then click on Parameter
And the following window appears.
Then made as what is highlighted. In ocurrance here we use the book gm2001.bin
Then click on the OK button. And it returns to the previous window.
In the NAME field, if you already have a chess engine with the same name, you will need to add a letter or word to differentiate.
Then check Priority: Bellow normal, then click on OK

I have to prepare the files and you can just add the engine and change the file name in polyglot.ini
