I guess i am doing a mistake creating learn.dat and hash, dat files, because inspite of being written the correct path, they dont move therir values.....obviously they are both tilted.... Should i use in the root C:\? or in case i put them (win 8) in documents folder, where in? beacuse there is , for each user, a document folder and a my documents folder.....
Thx in advance

Anyone who uses Houdini must read the manual he did!
We can criticize Robert Houdart of everything you want, but one thing you could not blame him: The comprehensive documentation.

Some things described there get the inexpert computer specialists messed.....
I can be a great player but, u cant tell me that at the start of the H3 it showed bitbases and gaviota tablenases and since some time it does appear only the bitbases path.... at least in gui 13 .....

Yes, I blame the people who want to get in the big pool without learning to swim in the small pool.@peekoo wrote:I'll never be a great player if i just wanna waste my money and stop learning. My opinion...

I understand if the question was about a program where the lack of documentation is obvious, but this is not the case. Especially since it is not clear in the question.
It title: "How to create learn and hash dat files?" then it is followed by just a pile of words without head or tail. Which implies that he does not know how to save a file on their hard drive or that he had not read the manual of houdini, or even did a search on the forum.
People shouldnt be tough and just give the links and that is it.... I guess that if this issue was treated in extense, in this forum, it is not so clear how to solve some issues..... and welcome every subject that is opened .....
We should be polite to ask and to answer .....
This is a state of the art forum and their member supposed to be gentlemen.

This forum is a place for sharing knowledge and chess in general. But not the exclusive technical and sales support Houdini, especially for those who are not able to formulate their questions properly and not be able to read the documentation of a product they purchased $50
Every year you repeat the same question. In one year you still have not RTFM.
