This one crashes immediately when starting from commandline or in WB.
Probably also because of my old win-64 machine.
A no-popcnt version would be nice. Thanks.

BTW the author is from Hungaria, but seems to live now in Poland.
He already had created Zochova. (XB/UCI chronology)

I put in on the waiting queue.

Guenther

P.S. Thanks for the Shallow and GopherCheck builds w/o popcnt!

Hi,

The author here.
The development mainly happens on MacOSX, and Linux. It should compile on Windows as well, but I rarely check that.
Also, this is just a hobby project so don't expect much.
It comes with a single master branch, which can crash anytime as new bugs are introduced, and old bugs are fixed.
If I find some time, I'll try to provide a stable version in separate branch on github, and a little documentation.

Regarding popcnt:
When using gcc/clang on POSIX-ish systems, it just guesses the CPU features of the host machine. I try to do similar things on Windows as well.
So this is not suitable for binary distribution.
Building a version that does not use popcnt ( or uses it when present )should be possible, although I don't know how set up that on Windows.

Cheers

Hi Gabor,

The latest compile in this thread from 'linuxchess' works also on machines w/o popcnt.
Taltos was added to the XB/UCI chronology around a weak ago then.

It was also added subsequently to the CCW.
