This is awesome; thanks for sharing!

May I ask how you managed to convert it to .ctg format? I have been working on this myself for sometime, which is why I am curious.

Are you just using a method that (more or less) follows the following scheme...?

.bin (brainfish format) --> .bin (via polyglot) --> .pgn (via python) --> .ctg (via chessbase)

Yes!

"By Aster"
zippyshare.com/v/OdizxtG9/file.html
1. Launch Cerebellum2polyglot_Windows.exe.
2. Type in: brain2polyglot depth 200 in "Cerebellum_light.bin" out "polybook.bin"
3. From the console (cmd): polyglot dump-book -bin polybook.bin -color white -out white-moves.txt
4. polyglot dump-book -bin polybook.bin -color black -out black-moves.txt
5. python convert-cerebellum.py
6. Now there are games-all.pgn games-white.pgn and games-black.pgn. In the games-all.pgn there are both lines (white and black) as draws, games-white contains white lines marked as wins, games-black - lines for the black with 0-1 result. Use them to train the book created on the draw data.

Hi Waldemar, thank you for the response. I wanted to reply sooner, but apparently this site has been under maintenance and I couldn't log in for a while.

Could you please elaborate on what you mean by "train the book created on the draw data?" Do you just mean combine all of the W/L/D games into a single opening book? Or is it a step more advanced than that? I ask because all of my efforts thus far have failed to give a CTG that is comparable in strength to the polybook.bin or the original Cerebellum_Light binary.

Thanks,

CC

Aster said that. I just use "Learn from Database" option in Fritz in WDL games.

Not that it matters, but out of curiosity, why do you suppose there are 144 missing positions @ depth = 1024? Before I discovered your post, I suspected that a lot of the positions I was not retrieving were actually repetitions (greater than three moves) present in the original Cerebellum binary. But if this were the case, the number would surely be greater than 144, which seems a bit arbitrary.
