And replied, (" Try the values between 10 to 14 ")
When applying the values between 10 to 14 found low speed for the node
I tested the numbers between 15 to 20 were the best results with the number 19 ( highest speed )

Each System has its own characteristics so what you test and find good for your machine use it,
Aboghadeer found this sitting suiting his machine and thanks to him he wants to share the info,
I use 18 and in anther machine 14, depends on the system as i said.

Split_Depth: min 8, Default 10 , max 99.

- Some people have ( Intel Pentium Processor ) , they can choose the default mode for a Split_Depth of 10
- Some people have ( Intel quad Core i5/i7 Processor ) , they can choose between 10 to 14 for a Split_Depth
- Some people have ( Intel Xeon Processor X7460 16M Cache ) (like me) they can choose between 15 to 19
- Some people have the Supercomputer like ( *Tianhe-1A ) or Blue Gene & Cray XT5 , they can choose the maximum number of 99

open houdini .exe file u will see a black screen like command prompt.

type in autotune then hit ENTER
let it run, do not surf the internet or do anything else, have nothing open but this.
do not click on no other widnows or nothing.
do this after a fresh reboot
this will let u know WHAT SPLIT DEPTH IS BEST FOR YOUR COMPUTER.

keep in mind, depending on overclocking/voltage changes, the split depths will change, so if u change your computer speed,ram,voltage,programs,setup.. anything, re-do the test..

this is easiest and most precise way to find out what split depth is best for your personal computer...

click on houdini 1.5a then a black screen will appear
then u type in "autotune" withouth the ''s

and hit enter on keyboard, this will runa test of 4 positions from split depth 10 thru 18 . and at end when done will show u the results, look thru the results and find the highest kn/s average and use that split depth for best performance,
