hi friends..... I honestly don't understand why Crafty is still insisting on using x-board instead of using UCI protocol, almost all engines are UCI, it would be for Craty an advance for the chess community, now I have to appeal to the friends I have here ! if you have a good soul that could put one (UCI X-BOARD) ,,, with option for quantities of cores, to be able to use this engine ... unfortunately for the ignorance that I have in programming or paying attention to the details ... of informatics / I can't put this UCI to work, right now, my thanks .... best

It's a recipe to run in Fritz:

1) download wb2uci.zip from: http://web.archive.org/web/20100301224834/http://home.online.no/~malin/sjakk/download/Wb2Uci.zip

2) edit wb2uci.eng:

[ENGINE]
Name=Crafty 25.6
Author=Name of engine author
Filename=Wb2Uci.exe

[OPTIONS]
Program=C:\Program Files (x86)\ChessBase\Engines\Crafty\crafty-windows-gcc.exe
; See Wb2Uci.html for more options
InitString=mt 2
HashCommand=hash %iM

3) create a new engine for wb2uci.exe file

4) done!

Info:
mt 2 - means using 2 cores
hash %iM - corresponds to reading the size of the hash from Fritz
