It is one of most powerful BIN opening books that I have ever seen!

A new rating with own books, via more close in strength engines than LII!

The current competition is already over and as usual, many thanks to all!

Note also that almost all of the own books are played by Cfish 050521 C40

Exc. Cerebellum 3M is played via Brainfish 240720, Eman via Eman 5.62

FatFritz2 via Fat Fritz 2, Stockfish231 via SF 220720, Zeus via Zeus 9.2

I have to mention this too, according to my latest engine strength testings,

Btw, the strength testings played under Arena via Balsa opening suite..and

Eman 5.62 engine is performed minus plus 20 Elo less than Cfish 050521

In short, that means a lot...how a weaker engine can be Number One... ?!

And the answer is quite simple, Eman book played the biggest role for sure!

As usual, I am pleased to announce that,

I managed to run another series of 3600 Elo

Note also that all are played as NON-NNUE



Btw, for right now,

I realized about the current competition to be ended

The reason, no much Elo progress since 2020 year

But later, there is a possibility to be resumed again...

Because sometimes.. it's no so bad idea to be tested

Engines without using Evalfiles as assistance, right ?



Some details about the current Number One engine:

Cfish 030820 BMI2 (the Winner of Candidate 2020 )

Plus the Winner of previous Championship I 3600 Elo

As we see, the same Cfish once more managed to win..!

In short, 3-times Champion...really just unbelievable !!

I can't remember any better record, exactly by same version

This same engine once more proved that just 'Born to Win'

Oh..yes, Cfish 030820 lost in recent Duel NNUE vs NON-NNUE

But the opponent is played with huge advantage (via Evalfile)

Frankly, sometimes... newer versions do not mean stronger...!)

Almost daily SF releases...but here the situation is different!

It seems, SF authors are busy manly over NNUE's progress

On other hand I wonder much (as NON-NNUE),

Who will be this 'hero'..who will manage to release stronger ?)

Not sure exactly...but It looks like we will wait some long time...!



I have to admit also that,

Zeus, SugaR, SF PB, Brainfish etc.engines are super strong too

Cfish 050521 performed very well too, which plays in book tours

Sure, I can't say the same words for Swordfish..really suffers...



Meanwhile, once more we noticed, and it's my pleasure that,

Via Balsa opening suite and Perfect books: no any accident!

I mean, it is not not required thousands of games (per player)

• Anyone interested can update his book (once per month): Contact

In this way, I expect Super League tour's players to be less affected

• Maximum (compressed) size limit for CTG: 300 MB / BIN: 150 MB

• Chessbase (ctg) main book settings: Learning ON, Optimized, 0/100

• Polyglot (bin) main settings: BookDepth 100 / Best Move as enabled

Exc. some opening books will be played by Author's recommendations

• The qualified books will consist min 300 games (vs Top ranked ones)
• Any Opening Book Leader (after 300 games ) will be titled as Champ
• Overall draw percentage (based on 4170 games) is not so high: 85%

I have good news...

I started to organize another great Duel too:
NNUE (No Book) vs NON-NNUE (Deep Books)
Meanwhile, periodically I run similar Duels: I II

And 2nd name of this great Duel,
Call be called as Battle of Brains !)

A few quick notes about the planning Duel: NNUE Vs Book
All Deep Books will be played by CF EXT 291120 NON-NNUE
As Players, I picked the Top Books of CS LVI Super League

As NNUE (No Book), 3 (three) engines will used:
Kayra 1.0 v6, Stockfish 171221, SugaR AI 2.50
No Book = Played without using any opening book
NNUE = Played with their own default EvalFiles


Note also that,
I plan to run minimum 360 games (in Total)
So, each NNUE engine will consist min 120 games

I hope to create and publish Individual Statistics as well...
So we will have possibility to compare which one is better..
And how many Elo difference is expecting to be...
Not sure exactly but,
I would not much surprised if 50+ Elo (in favor for NNUE)

• All books are played by: CF EXT 291120 C40 / Results / Results 2

• Participants (3675+) which managed to qualify from Second League

• In this tour, only Public books played (Private ones are excluded)

• Some authors are updated their opening books (once per month):

• Authors were free to release their books even after the end of tour

In this way, I've noticed Super League's players are less affected

• Maximum (compressed) size limit for CTG: 300 MB / BIN: 150 MB

• Chessbase (ctg) main book settings: Learning ON, Optimized, 0/100

• Polyglot (bin) main settings: BookDepth 100 / Best Move as enabled

Exc. some opening books are played by Author's recommendations

• The qualified books consist min 300 games (vs Top ranked ones)
• Any Opening Book Leader (after 300 games) is titled as Champion
• Overall draw percentage (based on 4470 games) not so high: 86%
• As usual, all the played games will be available after the end of tour
