Book best move OFF or ON

I want to know something, Can you tell me please, the big difference between book best move OFF or ON impact on the game of engine using it. Thanks.

The authors of books after doing tests and based on results decide which is the best configuration, but just in case you get a book and do not know the best parameter On or OFF, I suggest you do some tests in both modes and you will immediately realize which one is better for you. I do this in arena chess, it is a GUI that I use a lot, now I am honest I do not waste much time in tests of 100 games, one quickly realizes which is the best option. Just personal case. Regards;

when you use a tuned book you can play BBM OFF. but if you use books that were not tuned You should use BBM ON. in this forum 80% of books were not tuned and therefore it contains lots of weak positions. 70% of possibilities of losing games.

if you use a weak bot like horvig you have to use BBM ON.

With lots of hours!! Analyzing, testing, refuting... There's no silver bullets there, handcrafting is expensive!  

Book war started many years ago...
