This one's for all humanity. Ukrainian Andrew Slyusarchuk, 39 years old, neurosurgeon by profession, has taken on Rybka-4 and beaten him(her/it) blindfold!

Nope, he's not a grandmaster (and doesn't intend to give Vishy Anand any competition). He says, he wanted to display to the world the power of the human mind. What a celebration for all of us!

Andrew was searched thoroughly for any hidden devices before the event. He says, he just learned it all up! He won with white then drew with black to win the match. Incidentally, Andrew plan a simul against 150 Grandmasters. By the way, Andrew specialises in improving memory technologies and knows by heart 20,000 books and 30 million digits of the pi.

Amateur beats Rybka blindfold – while hell freezes over

Chinese media and other sources tell us that Ukrainian chess amateur Andrew Slyusarchuk beat Rybka 4.0 in a two-game blindfold match after reading three thousand books on the subject. The reports also says the 39-year-old doctor can recite 20,000 books by heart and has memorized 30 million digits of Pi. There are lots of video demonstrations, but as Robert Ripley used to say...

FYI: In the Ukrainian Parliament, his activities were called "the largest-scale fraud in Ukraine's 20 years of independence"
On 14 November 2011 he was charged with fraud by the SWAT
On 14 February 2014, the Sykhiv Court sentenced Slyusarchuk to 8 years in prison, with the judge reading the 150-page sentence based on the 26-volume criminal-case transcript

All his TV shows, including memorizing 1 000 000 digits of Pi number, memorizing thousands of classic books (poems and novelties), memorizing position on 50 chess boards and chess game vs Rybka were performed using hidden wireless ear phone.

Ukrainian GM George Tymoshenko proved that fake doctor Slyusarchuk do not know even chess rules.
During TV show with 50 board positions, 50 random people (including GM Tymoshenko) were said to make 1 move at each board. After revisiting each board "doctor Pi" restored original position (undo move).
On 3 boards "doctor Pi" could not undo move, despite correct instruction in ear phone:
- GM Tymoshenko made castling O-O-O and Slyusarchuk was standing couple minutes. Finally he swapped Rook and King :)
- Slyusarchuk could not undo Ng8-Nf6 move, because he was unaware Knight allowed to jump over pawns
- 1 of 50 boards was flipped, so notation was flipped. Move was h2-h3 and Slyusarchuk was long time looking at top-left corner, but there was no pawn there so he was confused

neurosurgeon by profession

Slyusarchuk  has no education. He got secondary education in orphans school and at age 15...17 got profession of "painter-plasterer-facing worker". His teachers say he didn't know multiplication table and in the age of 17, his scholar skills were of 9-years-old.
He was walking in school with case, stethoscope and sometimes white medical/lab gown pretending to be a doctor.
