very difficult to answer.
would have to test it,it might be accurate results.Unfortunately I can not find a test.
The fact is: Houdini 64 bit is much faster than Houdini 32 bit.
difference in the rybka, depending on the position, can be 67,3% from 32bit to 64bit.

the speed increase was 5% five per cent :(

thx zedd,
very good test and good information.
This test is run on 2 cores for each motor.
It clearly shows the superiority of 64bit.
I say / guess : on 4 cores(Quad) for each motor, the result would be much better.

I think not a good idea zeeman's book for this test.
There is no engine testbook.
did you put me on a good idea zedd :sm29:
I'll make a test between Houdini 32bit and 64 bit.
Opening book are: Sedat perfect 2011
i will running 80 games with timefaktor 3+0 blitzgames.
Both engines get six cores. :sm27:
result coming soon :sm20:

When I upgraded from x32 to x64 I noticed a leap in about 1,200kN (for Ivanhoe) and an even bigger leap for Houdini (can't remember the exact figures but it was close to double).@zedd1919 wrote:What is the difference between two regarding strength and speed??
Don't quote me on this (someone feel free to wade in here) but at longer time controls the benefits of increased speed are less obvious.

I must say you are very fast. You are doing excellent job.I also think using complete book to test engine is not a good idea.Testo wrote:I think not a good idea zeeman's book for this test.
