Fixing an old scaling problem that was known but neglected because of laziness (I can afford that
luxury) and lack of an easy solution. With increasing time controls Rebel 12, ProDeo tended to
lose more and more strength in comparison with other engines.
Oddly a program that was known in the past to perform better at longer time controls than at
blitz has gone completely the opposite way. The price one has to pay for doing nothing. Version
1.81 is meant to turn that tide and its test results look good.
i love this chess engine ,, but :

Yesterday I found out that the permant brain is broken since version 1.8. An easy fix was to make the following addition to the WB2UCI.ENG file.
Ponder = true
Perhaps that line should have been there always in the first place since version 1.0.
Anyway, both archives have been updated in case you don't want to do the editing job.

This is a beta version so it can play in two [ 1 ] [ 2 ] starting tournaments. It's not even one
month old since the release of ProDeo 1.82 but plays obvious better as can be seen below.
The crude and unpolished new code will be tuned hereafter.

ProDeo 1.85
http://www.top-5000.nl/dl/ProDeo185.exe
The chess engine has gained a little in strength but that's not the goal of this release.
Version 1.85 is about recording chess and computer chess history and use it as an analysis (study) tool.
If you set ProDeo 1.85 in analyse mode it will consult a database and communicate the search results for the current position in your browser and makes it an excellent tool for opening study, see example-1 . Looking for a specific game? For instance the immortal Zurich (1953) Averbach-Kotov game? Copy the position into your favorite GUI and ProDeo will find the game instantly.
Available are the following databases
Total download size : 5.5 Gb
After installation : 13.2 Gb

I really think this is a great feature by Prodeo, Hope to keep updating it frequently and improve the weight of each list with the quality of games.
ProDeo 1.86
- this is the Leiden 2013 version
- added null move
- improved time control
- mobility tuning

ProDeo 1.87
http://www.top-5000.nl/prodeo187.htm
- added knowledge to King Safety (approx 4 Elo)
- added LMP (late move pruning) (approx 10 Elo)
- null windowing in aspiration search (approx 2 Elo)
- restored the [Right to Move = 100] parameter (approx 12 Elo) This "tempo penalty" suddenly works a lot better now that we moved to full Nullmove search
- added a second condition to the tempo pernalty namely, subtract 10% from the mobilty score. Its reason is found on the logic that mobility often is a temporarily advantage that can be undone by a couple of moves and sometimes even by the next move (approx 10 Elo)
- some code speed-up (approx 1-2 Elo)
