does anyone know?

I play on playchess.com Houdini 3 standard Intel 7 3930k 3.200 GHz (6
cores 12 threads)
My opponent also Houdini 3 standard Intel 7 3930k 3.200 GHz (6
cores 12 threads)
My opponent 18.885kn/s
Me only 12.892 kn/s
Why?
What I should do to increase my kn/s?
how to get the maximum of My Houdini?
thanks for your attention and your prompt reply.

Best regards,
Mirjana

Does your computer have installed important updates?
This experience frequent too. The computer I have 2 cores.
When you do install important updates plays chess with only one core.
This happened to me yesterday. He played with the computer 50% of the power. I saw it in the Arena GUI.
Watch this is it. It happens often.

I used translation program.
I hope to become understandable.

Hi the kn/s is directly affected by how much hash you assign when you load the engine. You and the opponent probably had different hash size. Smaller hash can give you higher kn/s BUT lower search depth so actually in that case kn/s does not necessarily mean stronger play - search depth is more important than kn/s. For example if you set really low hash like 64Mb the kn/s shoots very high but search depth is lower. If playing blitz try 512Mb hash. All my tests have shown this to be the best setting for blitz regardless of how much RAM you have. It is not true that bigger is better when it comes to hash !

What hash size were you using ?

Thank you for your response.
I usually play 40 min
I have ddr3 16GB
what are the best parameters for Split, hash, and other settings for my I7 3930k. for 40min.
Do you have any idea how to turn on the turbo boost?

Best regards,
Marijana
