Here is an Opening to Test Engines  smile  I call it (The Double King's Gambit) it has a Name ?

Note!  smile for the Test below set your Opening Books OFF! this is a Test to see what an Engine can really do on it's Own!

And set a Time Per Move at (180) Seconds Ponder ON / OFF your Choice! it's all about finding the Best lines for White & Black.

Then enter the first (2) Moves Only! 1.e4 e5 2.f4 f5

[pgn][Opening "The Double King's Gambit"]

That is a Kings Gambit declined ECO C30
http://www.365chess.com/opening.php?m=5&n=1032&ms=e4.e5.f4.f5

White has a 60% advantage over Black out of the gate so it would not be a good line for engine testing.

I assume that you wish to play as black?  Komodo 9.1. moves  3.exf5

Can a Human find a line the Engines miss ?

Stockfish has a Small advantage in the line below for White! but it does not mean it's the absolute best line ?

I don't know how or why your Stockfish makes the moves it does, but Komodo 9 move 4. is  4.Nf3    your move?

Clumbersome opening for black. Dubious in all ways.

I am Not! impressed by any Engine Winning a game because Humans say the Opening has a 20% + Advantage ?

You are the one that picked this opening

Of course you would know best cool

What about Komodo 9 move 4. is  4.Nf3    your move?

You showed your Stockfish line........not very good.

      Watch this Space for improvements!

I have told you (twice) that Komodo would play 4.Nf3...now perhaps that is an improvement on a weak opening (that you picked) that not many humans
or engines would use.

All in all rather a pointless exercise isn't it exclaim

All in all..just another pointless thread not to be taken very seriously. question

Would like to use the abr system as black against Komodo 9 to see if there are any improvements etc.

It Can't be that Bad for Black at a first Shot for Stockfish it only gives White a +0.38 Advantage smile

It's definitely not a 60% v 40% Opening like suggested...

Watch this Space for improvements! wink

I want to see an Engine show how to Win Starting with a 20% - Disadvantage! Now that's what you call an Engine!  thumb up

Please excuse the Negative posts from the Person below "QueensideCastler" who does not have a clue about Chess!

I have tried to get you to see how wrong Stockfish is (which you yourself agree with) and ask you to show us all how different you would
play the moves rather than a good engine i.e. Komodo 9.1 (which you state you do not have). If you wish to ignore facts..up to you.

Any member of this forum who does not agree with you is regarded as being negative...that's how you have always seen things.

Because someone goes all over the web digging up pointless facts and pic's;   giving what he considers to be the best moves/lines in threads
of games played does NOT make them a chess player or an authority about the subject either.

I accept I do not know loads of needless junk about the subject of chess. However I have also told you more than once I will give you a game/match anytime....

So as we move on a bit further in the Game we can see that the 60% / 40% Advantage for White has gone with just One Creative Variation  smile

All we need now is for an Engine to Play it on it's own from the Start ?

Wrong. yet again exclaim

In the first place what is the point of using an old engine for your analysis question

In the second place Komodo 9.1. plays 5.fxe5 (+1.35) exclaim

If I was you I would just give it up as yet another lost system game/opening, in all a waste of our time looking at it.
